We also have acooperation with the Russian filmmaker, Tamara Sushko, who is making a documentary film 2019about Jury's story, that was shown on many film festivals and had awards. The impact of this monument will be TREMENDOUS, because it will be one of remembrance andhonor of the fate of Russian prisoners of war in Norway. The Monument will be a reminder to all, about the importance of keeping the world in peace. We are in contact with the master foundryman Ivan Dubrovin in Jekaterinburg who has offered tofabricate the bronze sculpture and will also contribute to the installation in Svolvær.I hope for this sculpture, it will also be a reminder that Soviet prisoners survived thanks to thecourageous help of the inhabitants of Norway, who shared the last that they had ..After more then 10 years we receivedthis message from Director of the Museum in Svolvær, William Hakvaag: We have found abeautiful place with a possibility for this monument to stand on, at Svinøya overlooking the oceanand in full sight for the ships sailing in to Svolvær. The famous Hurtigruten - coastal steamer whichpasses by twise a day, one coming from the North and one coming from the South. Also lots ofbeautiful fjord around. They want to start working on the project immediately. So now we need co-financing, 30 % of all cost of this project, so we started a company forfundraising.
